Our Formulation Approach
Innova Essential Skin includes different types of cosmetic formulations. Some products are anhydrous, meaning they are formulated without added water, while others contain water, hydrosols, or other water-based ingredients appropriate to the product.
Each formula is developed according to its intended cosmetic use, ingredient compatibility, texture, skin feel, and product requirements. When a formula contains water, appropriate preservation and formulation controls are used as required by the product design.
Rather than applying one formulation philosophy to every product, ingredients are selected according to the needs and intended cosmetic function of each individual formula.
Questions Customers Ask
Will the products feel greasy?
Texture and finish vary by product. For concentrated oil- or butter-based formulas, begin with a small amount and add more only as needed. Refer to the directions for the individual product for recommended use.
What if my skin is sensitive?
Individual skin responses can vary. Review the complete ingredient list before use and patch test a small area when introducing a new product, particularly if you know you are sensitive to specific cosmetic ingredients or essential oils. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Why can the texture of some products change with temperature?
Products containing natural oils, butters, and waxes may soften or firm as temperatures change because these ingredients have different melting points. This type of physical texture change can occur in anhydrous formulas. Follow the individual product storage and use instructions for best consistency.
