In studies and trials, astaxanthin lowered oxidative stress in overweight and obese subjects and in smokers. It blocked oxidative DNA damage, lowered C-reactive protein (CRP) and other inflammation biomarkers and boosted immunity in the tuberculin skin test. Astaxanthin lowered triglycerides and raised HDL-cholesterol in another trial and improved blood flow in an experimental microcirculation model. It improved cognition in a small clinical trial and boosted proliferation and differentiation of cultured nerve stem cells. In several Japanese RCTs, astaxanthin improved visual acuity and eye accommodation. It improved reproduction performance in men and reflux systems in H. pylori patients. In preliminary trials it showed promise for sports performances (soccer). In cultured cells, astaxanthin protected the mitochondria against endogenous oxygen radicals, conserved their redox (antioxidant) capacity, and enhanced their energy production efficiency. Astaxanthin's clinical success extends beyond protection against oxidative stress and inflammation, to demonstrable promise for slowing age-related functional decline.

Difference in Product

I received my recurring shipment and I noticed that the new shipment of the olive oil appears to be significantly lighter in color than previous shipments. I don’t know why this is the case, but the lighter color makes me wonder if the product has changed in some way or has been watered down. For now I’ll continue to take this product, but if I notice any changes in health or lack of improvement, I may revisit the idea of continuing use.

What I think about ValAsta Liquid Astaxanthin

I am 100% positive about ValAsta. My only complaint and it’s a big one, is the cost. My husband and I live on Social Security income and due to the cost, my husband is taking it and I am not, even though I need it :(

disappointed

Hopefully it is just too soon to expect positive results. To start off, disappointed with lack of caring from customer service to assist with getting the order that took over 2 weeks. I was the one that had to contact USPS to get it taken care of. Some days I actually feel worse than before I began taking it. Hoping for better results in a few weeks. Also disappointed that there doesn't seem to be any current Ask Sam videos or ongoing research.

It doesn't seem to agree with me

I am unable to take the full dose even when working up to it slowly. I drink lots of water when I take it as well. It gives me loose stools.
