In studies and trials, astaxanthin lowered oxidative stress in overweight and obese subjects and in smokers. It blocked oxidative DNA damage, lowered C-reactive protein (CRP) and other inflammation biomarkers and boosted immunity in the tuberculin skin test. Astaxanthin lowered triglycerides and raised HDL-cholesterol in another trial and improved blood flow in an experimental microcirculation model. It improved cognition in a small clinical trial and boosted proliferation and differentiation of cultured nerve stem cells. In several Japanese RCTs, astaxanthin improved visual acuity and eye accommodation. It improved reproduction performance in men and reflux systems in H. pylori patients. In preliminary trials it showed promise for sports performances (soccer). In cultured cells, astaxanthin protected the mitochondria against endogenous oxygen radicals, conserved their redox (antioxidant) capacity, and enhanced their energy production efficiency. Astaxanthin's clinical success extends beyond protection against oxidative stress and inflammation, to demonstrable promise for slowing age-related functional decline.

    It really works!!

    I have taken Valasta now for two years and I’ve been able to go off of prednisone that I was on daily for five years. Recently I have stopped taking methotrexate, which I was on for three years.
    I Take Valasta two times a day and I don’t go a day without it.

    Not perfect for all bodies

    I think my dentist would agree that your product has helped my teeth and gums. But for me it has created diarrhea, and explosive bowl movements. I have had to stop using it.

    Felt like it ran out very quickly. Effects weren't more pronounced than cheaper astaxanthin

    I thought the product was fine. I was expecting more pronounced results due to the manufacture quality. I've tried other brands of patented versions and this didn't seem much different. Seemed to finish up much faster than expected with it's $280 price tag, I don't think it was particularly worth.

    I do believe it is a high quality product, but I didn't notice particularly huge improvements that were better than regular astaxanthin (patented) that i've tried (I won't name names, I'm not trying to suggest people go to them) because I do think this product is likely good just... it was used up too quickly at recommended dosages. Maybe 1 pump is what I should've used.

    If I could only take one thing, this is it
