Patti Benson is a Class A Member of The LPGA Teaching and Club Professional (T&CP) Division. Patti, who was inducted into the LPGA T&CP Hall of Fame in 2011, served as the T&CP National President from 2002-2009 and earned the 2009 Nancy Lopez Golf Achievement Award.
Patti was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at age 38 in 1998 and underwent chemotherapy and surgery. For many years she was cancer free then in 2019 developed urothelial cancer stage 4. The C-diff (Clostridium difficile) that Patti refers to is a bacterial infection but according to the research creates a broad systemic inflammatory response during severe cases. Bladder Cancer: Symptoms and Signs
- Blood or blood clots in the urine.
- Pain or burning sensation during urination.
- Frequent urination.
- Feeling the need to urinate many times throughout the night.
- Feeling the need to urinate, but not being able to pass urine.
- Lower back pain on 1 side of the body.
